It's Nicklas Lidstrom, arguably the greatest defenseman in Red Wings history, and goaltender Dominik Hasek, who had a late-career swan song in Detroit but its best known for his time with the Buffalo Sabres. (There may even be a third Hall of Fame cameo, as I think that may be Brendan Shanahan down in the lower right corner. Could be wrong, though.) This is from the rarer "Combos" subset in the Signature Renditions line. Each of these is numbered to just 15 copies, as opposed to 35 for the single-autograph versions. This commemorates the Red Wings' 2002 Stanley Cup win, which was their third title in six years.
These combos usually sell for way beyond my price range, but I do try to snag them whenever I come across one that seems to be under-priced. I managed to get this one off of Ebay for less than I've seen Dominik Hasek's regular Signature Renditions card sell for. In fact, both he and Lidstrom have single-auto cards that seem to do very well -- I've made half a dozen tries for each and still haven't been able to land either one for a reasonable price. And yet, here I am with the rarer card that has them both on it. Go figure.
