A new hunt: The original (modern) A&G

Probably because I only recently got back into the hobby and haven't had time to get tired of them, I really enjoy Allen & Ginter baseball cards. The modern reincarnation, I mean. I'm sure I'd like the originals even more, but I haven't ever seen one. The problem is that I have a limited amount of storage space for my cards. So collecting scooping up every A&G I find isn't really an option.

So instead I've decided to try building one specific set: 2006, the first of the modern A&G sets, released one decade ago. As it happens, I'm starting with five base cards, which I picked up a few months ago when I bought a pack of these from a local hobby shop. (I had a sixth -- Tom Glavine -- but I traded that away a while back before I decided to try building this set. It was, of course, a short sprint. *headdesk*)

Without further introduction, here are the first five of 350 cards in my quest to build 2006 Allen & Ginter.

#10 -- Andruw Jones, Atlanta Braves
#100 -- Barry Bonds, San Francisco Giants

#140 -- Roy Halladay, Toronto Blue Jays
#281 -- Harmon Killebrew, Minnesota Twins
#336 -- Pope Leo XIII, Catholic Church
Progress report: 5/350 (1.4 percent)
