A pair of Zistle trades

Recently completed a a couple of small Zistle trades, which I figured I'd combine into the same post. 

2002-03 Vanguard -- Steve Yzerman

A new (to me) Steve Yzerman card was the best of the lot. I've passed 250 Yzerman cards at this point.

2006 Allen & Ginter #79 -- Ryan Howard

2006 Allen & Ginter #223 -- Carl Crawford

Two new cards in my fledgling attempt to build the base set from the first modern Allen & Ginter release. Progress report: 7/350 (1.9 percent).

1989 Topps Glossy Rookies #22 -- David Wells

Though I stopped blogging for a few months, I didn't stop collecting. And one of the main things I've been working on is building Toronto Blue Jays team sets from the franchise's inception in 1977 through the '80's (before the number of sets exploded). This insert knocks one off my 1989 need list. 

I had no idea these mini-throwbacks from 2012 Topps existed until scanning around Zistle. I've mentioned this before, but 1987 Topps, though it's quite possibly the least valuable baseball set ever, remains my favorite set of all-time. They were the first cards I ever saw and they were what we usually used when playing leaners at recess in the third grade. One day, once I figure out a way around my lack of space, I will hand-collate the original, 792-card set. Until then, picking up some of these throwbacks will have to do.
